As a leading estate agency group in London, Johns&Co values its staff and celebrates their achievements. To reward high performers, they are hosting an exclusive winners' trip to Barcelona in May 2025 for 35 team members across various departments, evaluated on criteria such as sales, lets, revenue, customer service, Trustpilot reviews, and more. Recognising the importance of internal communications in motivating staff, Johns&Co tasked us with creating a campaign to generate excitement, drive performance, and foster engagement in the lead-up to the trip.
THE SOLUTION /
We developed a vibrant internal communications campaign centred around a bespoke monthly newsletter titled "Departures Lounge." Designed in the style of a premium magazine, this newsletter captures the excitement of the upcoming trip while keeping staff informed and motivated.
Key campaign elements included:
Monthly Newsletters:
Each month, we curated and designed a magazine-style newsletter, distributed via EDM to Johns&Co’s 150+ staff. These newsletters featured:Performance metrics by department.
Updates on staff members currently in the "Departures Lounge," complete with podium-style rankings and professional headshots.
Insights into Barcelona, including activities and experiences awaiting the winners.
Brand Visuals:
We created a suite of engaging graphics and branded visuals to build excitement, including:An ampersand logo styled as a pool float.
Branded airplanes and destination-themed designs.
Professional photography and bespoke illustrations for the magazine.
Social Media Integration:
To enhance the campaign’s impact, we shared select magazine covers and graphics on social media. This not only hyped internal staff but also positioned Johns&Co as a company that rewards its team, boosting recruitment efforts and external brand perception.Motivational Content:
Each newsletter contained motivational copy, fun facts about Barcelona, and updates on the trip itinerary, ensuring staff stayed engaged and inspired.
